Which side does the placket close on?
The buttons run diagonally across the front, so the closure sits off to one side rather than down the center. It looks intentional either way you style it — open or fully buttoned.
Can I still layer a sweater under it?
Yes. The cut is relaxed through the body with a drop shoulder, so a light knit fits underneath without pulling at the buttons.
Will the corduroy fade after washing?
Wash it cold and hang it dry and the color stays put. Heat is what dulls corduroy, so skip the dryer.
Is this meant to be worn buttoned or open?
Both. Open, the diagonal placket shows as a soft angled line down the front. Buttoned, it reads more structured and pulls the whole outfit together.
