Do I need a special bra with the high neck and cutouts?
A strapless or adhesive bra works best, since the shoulder cutouts sit open. Many women wear it with a low-back strapless style and have no issue.
How sheer are the sleeves?
The sleeves are mesh, so they show skin but keep your arms covered. They read as elegant rather than exposed, especially in evening light.
Will it wrinkle in the package?
Some creasing is normal in shipping. Hang it up for a few hours and most of it drops out on its own.
Can I have it hemmed?
Yes. The mermaid flare starts below the knee, so a tailor can shorten it from the bottom without changing the shape through the hip.
