Yes, but the cut is slim. A thin knit or long-sleeve layers fine. For a thicker sweater, go with the next size up.

No, the hood is attached. It's soft-lined and shaped to sit close to your head, so it stays put in wind.
Is it heavy to wear?
No. The padding is lightweight, so you get warmth without the weight of a thick wool coat on your shoulders.
Can I wear it in the rain?
Light snow and drizzle are fine — the smooth quilted shell sheds a bit of moisture. It isn't a waterproof rain jacket, so skip it in a downpour.
