Can I wear these in heavy rain, or just light drizzle?
The rubber sole and smooth upper handle wet sidewalks, puddles, and steady rain on a normal walk or commute. They are not sealed waterproof boots, so we would not recommend standing in deep water for long stretches.
Will the elastic panel loosen up over time?
The panel is built to stretch and return, so it keeps its snap through regular wear. Pull them on by the heel tab rather than yanking on the elastic itself and it will hold up much longer.
Do these work with thicker socks in cold weather?
Yes, though if you plan to wear wool socks most days, go up half a size. The toe box is snug by design and the extra room makes a real difference in winter.
Are they heavy to walk in all day?
No. The rubber sole is flexible rather than thick and rigid, so the boot bends with your step instead of fighting it. Most people find them lighter than a traditional rain boot.
