Does the hood stay up in wind?
Yes. The hood is lined with the same faux fur pile and sits close to the head. It stays put on a walk, though it is not a drawstring hood.
Can I wear this in wet snow?
It handles light flurries fine and shakes off easily. For heavy rain or wet slush, choose a coated shell instead — this is a warmth layer, not a waterproof one.
Will the fur flatten where my bag strap sits?
The pile compresses under a strap, then lifts again once the weight is off. A quick shake or a light brush with your hand restores it.
How do I store it over the summer?
Hang it on a wide hanger rather than folding it. Folding creases the pile, and a padded or wide hanger keeps the shoulders from denting.
